Have you notice these Candle like decoration around Devon street.
Did you guess, what it is for? well to learn this, I asked Chicago’s West Ridge Chamber of Commerce, who put up these decorations. They said,
The decorations are up to celebrate the many holidays that are celebrated around Devon Ave at this time of year. Last week Ramadan kicked off, the beginning of the holiday season. The decorations were put up when Ramadan started. They will continue to stay up through Eid (the end of Ramadan), Diwali, Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur, Hanukkah and Christmas.
Its just a way to make those who work, live and shop Devon feel that we are all celebrating.
